Landscape and Nature Photography

Bryan Couch

Bryan Couch resides in Northwestern Ontario where he developed a passion for the rugged Canadian wilderness at an early age. His connection and appreciation of natural beauty found him outdoors doing a wide range of activities from hiking and camping, to fishing and hitting the slopes. As sometimes happens in life, Bryan’s priorities shifted with time to focus more on his career and family, and he found himself deviating from the activities that had previously cherished. However, recently a series of life changing events have reconnected Bryan back with the outdoors, and while seeking out the time for peace and reflection, he discovered his passion for photography. Since then there’s been no stopping him! Honing his skills by reading, learning new techniques, and pushing his creative boundaries, Bryan prides himself on his patient nature to find that perfect spot, with the perfect light, to make a memory that will last forever in time through a photograph.

What better place to be than on the shore of Lake Superior on a cool summer morning!

Bryan continues to challenge himself, and finds beauty in all things in life and nature. You may find Bryan capturing the precious moments of his beloved children, stopping time for just a moment to appreciate a friend’s special day, or maybe capturing a grand vista or an intimate landscape. Perhaps his subject is the vast night sky or the elusive Aurora Borealis, or maybe you would find him just sitting and taking in the world around him. No matter what the subject, he will be sharing his love of these moments with his photography students and those around him.

For Bryan, photography is about connecting people to the outdoors, the chance to live, learn and work from the land and to help them find their voice through imaginary.
